Your first K-Beauty wholesale order: A quick checklist

A short, practical checklist for first-time K-Beauty buyers. Based on the questions we hear most often.

Ordering Korean cosmetics for the first time can feel overwhelming. Hundreds of brands, several MOQ structures, and terminology like FOB, CIF, CPNP that nobody explains clearly.

Here are five things that matter most. Skip everything else for now.

1. Start small

For your first order, USD 1,000 to 3,000 is a good range. Big enough to test the market, small enough that you can absorb the lesson if a product does not sell.

Pick 2 to 3 brands. Test 3 to 5 SKUs from each. That's 10 to 15 SKUs total. Manageable.

2. Match certifications to your market

Not every Korean brand has every certification. Some have only FDA. Others only CPNP.

Before you commit, ask your supplier which certifications come with each SKU.

The basics

  • USA needs FDA registration on the manufacturing side.

  • EU and UK need CPNP/ SPCN notification per product.

  • Middle East often needs Halal certification.

  • Russia and CIS need EAC.

Check this before you order, not after.

3. Ask for a clear quote

A complete quote separates unit price, freight, insurance, and documentation.

If you receive one total number, ask for the breakdown.

When comparing suppliers, make sure both used the same Incoterm. FOB vs CIF is not a fair comparison.

4. Pay safely

For first orders, T/T 100% in advance is standard. PayPal works for orders under USD 5,000.

Before paying, get a proforma invoice with bank details. Confirm the bank name matches the company name. Do not pay through personal accounts or messaging app payments.

5. Plan delivery and inspection

After payment, in-stock goods leave our warehouse in 5 to 7 business days.

Shipping time depends on your country and carrier. Ask for an estimate when you get the quote.

When goods arrive, inspect within a few days. Check quantities, damage, and expiration dates.

Report any issues with photos, and most suppliers will replace or credit on the next order.

Pre-arrange a customs broker before goods arrive.

Cosmetics often need extra documentation and a broker familiar with K-Beauty saves days.

That's it. Five things.

When you are ready to start, send us your brand list, target country, and rough budget. We respond within 24 business hours.
